TANS Legislative
TANS' primary mission is to represent private school interests in the Texas State Legislature and in other government offices. We accomplish this work through a combination of efforts.
In between Legislative Sessions, we stay in touch with key legislators and office holders. Our goal is to be on their minds when legislation is introduced which will impact private schools. We want to be the "go-to" resource for anyone in state government with a question about the value of Texas non-public schools.
During Legislative Sessions, we monitor legislation, lobby legislators and their staff, and testify in hearings regarding legislation that impacts private schools. Members of our Board of Directors, the Executive staff, and professional lobbyists comprise the team that works during the Session.

TANS also represents Texas on the national Council for American Private Education. TANS members receive regular updates on CAPE's activities in Washington and national news that affects our schools in Texas.
